Brandie Smith has been an accomplished educator since 2003 and currently serves as the Head of School at Leipzig International School. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Brandie moved to Hawaii to pursue her university education. While there, she began her career as a Hawaiian History teacher in the public school system. She later earned a Master’s degree in Secondary Education. 

Her international experience includes serving as Head of School in Albania and Kurdistan, Iraq, where she developed expertise in fostering inclusive, globally minded learning communities. 

Brandie is an active member of the Association of German International Schools Board and serves on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission. She is also a member of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network (IBEN), supporting schools around the world.
